Are you watching? Roadkill? Roadkill Garage? Engine Masters? Hot Rod Garage?

Good stuff.

( Caveat : I wish they did not so ruthlessly abuse some of the fun vehicles they play with.)

Kinja'd!!!

Roadkill’s 50th, and my least favorite, episode. Lots of fun projects, though.

I got the free trial and the timing was such that I got 3 Roadkill episodes. Unfortunately they were all bad episodes so not so lucky at it turns out.

I watch Roadkill, Engine Masters, Hot Rod Garage, and any extra’s they throw on Youtube, but I’m not going to pay for Motor Trend On Demand. I’ve got enough stuff to pay for and I’m sure they make plenty of money off of the Youtube videos. I’m fine with them posting on MTOD one month before YT, so long as everything goes on YT eventually. Wish they would put Roadkill Garage on YT though.

All of this.

But the speculation Ive seen that they are charging for this in order to get production values up so they could sell it to netflix is cool if its true.

I haven’t sprung for the OnDemand. Not because I don’t think it’ll be worth it, but because there already isn’t enough time in the day to see everything I want to see that’s free.

Roadkill and Dirt Everyday are my favorite things to watch anywhere.

I’m conflicted about this, on one hand it would be awesome to see Netflix get involved with Roadkill. Budget would be great, production would be great, and they could do bigger and better things. On the other hand I feel like Roadkill has very slowly been going down hill, with a couple of notable exceptions of course (Stubby Bob!). Their earlier episodes felt much more like a couple of regular guys with not a lot of money doing awesome car stuff. Now it feels rushed, quick buy a car, do some sketchy fixes, drive it and dump it. Not that I still don’t love every single thing they do, it just has a slightly different feel than it used to. The Cummins Caddy was a great episode though and felt a little more like a return to form, but I would have liked to see some sort of end goal apart from swap hoon done.

I only watch what they throw on YT. None of the teasers even make me want to pay.

All of the above. Plus Dirt Every Day, The Racing Line, and the occasional other original that looks attractive. Need to get my $8.50/month out of it somehow.

I have it. Roadkill Extra is pretty great. Roadkill Garage is great. Overall its fantastic for the price. 9 bucks a month is me taking my lunch instead of buying it at work for 3 days a month. I can handle that.

I think the MTOD price is well worth it. I like Roadkill Garage and the Roadkill Extras. The other stuff is icing on the cake.

I live for Roadkill and RK Garage. Steve Dulcich is my favorite personality of the lot. Well worth the $6/mo.

Dirt Everyday is a pale comparison to RK, IMHO.

I hadn’t heard that, but I approve. Freiberger made a comment about his racing budget coming from the MTOD premiums; I approve of that as well. Hot Rod Garage is okay, but I don’t especially like the guy they hired to do the show. This is offset by the older, heavyset guy...

I think RK Garage is the better show of the two.

You’re paying more than I am... I think I’,m paying $6.50. I like what they are doing and I am eager to support them.

I think I’m actually only paying around $8.21. Of course that’s after exchange rate.

Exchange rate where?

It’s not so much for me whether or not it’s worth it, it’s just that I really don’t have time for more. I’m sure I’d enjoy it, because I have enjoyed the extras they put onto you tube to try and get people to sign up.

I lived on the East Coast and in about 1982, my family drove all the way up to St. Anthony, New Foundland. Great trip, it was. That was when I was first introduced to the concept of an exchange rate and it was completely lost on me.

I like the things Motor Trend is putting out more than The Grand Tour. Roadkill is authentic and doesn’t pretend to have a point, which is refreshing. Ignition and Head 2 Head are very entertaining car reviews. Pobst always sounds a bit forced, but that’s really my only criticism.

Totally agree, though a few of the Roadkill episodes are dumb. But Roadkill has inspired me:

www.tinyurl.com/vandurapics

As I ponder how to put that crate on the road, I just ask, “What would Friburger, Finnegan and Dulcich do?”

I watched half of the first episode of Grand Tour and was reminded of just how revolting I find Jeremy Clarkson. I’m sick of that franchise. The US remake of Top Gear , with that Matt guy, is insufferable.

Roadkill and Engine Masters is where it’s at.
